Please Note; Our FB Admin "Bea Sparky" used to be known as "Spark Da Change". The pictures here reflect this old name but the steps are the same!

This guide will show you how to find and join your Facebook group. Please note, you may have received an email with an invitation to the group along with instructions on how to join.

This guide will show you the three ways you can manually join the group; Manually, Through Spark Da Change, Through Support.  Please note, you may need to try more than one method.

If you do have any trouble accessing the group, you can contact Support.

Requesting Access Manually

Once you have logged in to your account, you can click in the white search bar at the top of the page and type in the name of your group. When typing in the group name, a drop down will appear with a list of related searches. If the right one appears, you can click it to find the group. In this example the BHC July 2016 group will be used.

After clicking on the group name, you will be taken to a page informing you of the group’s name, a cover photo with our HCI Logo, along with a list of its members. To join the group, just click on the green “Join group” button.

Upon clicking that button, the page will update and you will see a small grey button with the word “Pending”. This confirms that we have received your request.

For now, you can either wait and we will have you added asap, or you can contact Support and let us know you have requested access. We will have you added to the group within 24 hours. Please note, when we receive a request to join, we confirm that the name requesting is enrolled in that course. If you have a different Facebook name than the one you enrolled with, please let us know.

Once your request has been approved you will receive a red notification message in your Facebook group on the top right of your account next to the globe icon. If you click this, it will inform you that your group has been added.

If you click on the confirmation message it will take you to the FB group where you will now have access and are free to post, read, comment and tag!

Through Bea Sparky

After "friending" Spark Da Change, you can send them a private message requesting access to your specific FB group. When messaging please ensure to let Spark Da Change know which class you are in and if your registration name with us is different to your FB account name so they can find you in our system.

To send them a message you have two options; you can navigate to their FB account page or you can send them a new message from your messaging center.

To find their FB account page, just type in Spark Da Change in the search bar at the top of your FB page and click on the name when you see it in the drop down menu.

Once you are on the account page you can click on the “Message” button. This will pop up a dialogue box at the bottom where you can request access directly to the group.

To send them a message from your messaging center. Click on the message icon at the top right of your FB page. And then on the New Message link that pops up on the drop down.

After clicking on “New Message” a dialogue box will appear at the bottom of your screen. Here you can type in Spark Da Change and the name should appear in a drop down for you to click.

Once clicked, the name will appear in blue, meaning that the system has accepted this name as your message recipient. You can now type in your request to them at the bottom and click enter.

After using either of these methods, you will receive confirmation from Spark Da Change when you have been added to the group. You will also get a notification in your FB account via a red notification box at the top right of your screen.

Clicking on this will show you a message confirming your addition to your FB group.

The final way to get connected with your FB group is to connect with us at support via email, call or live chat. As with Spark Da Change, you just need to confirm your FB account name, the name you signed up for your course under and in addition, the email address associated with your FB account.
